![]() ![]() It basically answered all the questions I had. Basically I wish Toy Story 4 had been her own spin-off! There’s enough stuff in there for a feature-length movie and I actually wish I had gotten to see that movie ! I also wish we had gotten to see how Bo met her new friends and the whole motley crew of toys from the antique store. This short isn’t laugh-out-loud funny nor is it a tearjerker, but it fills the gap of how Bo ended up leaving the antique store and it’s kind of packed with action. ![]() It’s worth re-watching with the sound off just to really pay attention to the minute detail of the animation. I’d enjoy anything featuring Bo Peep, but this short has objectively gorgeous animation! The carousel scene looks on par with Toy Story 4, and the rest of the scenes are more like a succession of new situations that only lasts a few seconds each, so that must have required several new character models and environments, it’s impressive. It’s directed by Valerie LaPointe, one of the writers of Toy Story 4.Īs Bo and Woody finish catching up at the carnival, Bo tells him what happened to her after she was donated by Andy’s family. Lamp Life is a companion short to Toy Story 4 focusing on Bo Peep. ![]()
